Are other activities allowed during a session?
Cuddling should always be the primary focus of any session booked through our platform, though we recognise that sessions can take different forms and may naturally include connected activities.
Our Policy on Secondary Services
We treat secondary services as a grey area, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. This approach allows us to be fair and consider the context of each individual situation rather than enforcing a rigid list of approved and prohibited activities.
In general, secondary activities are acceptable when they can be reasonably perceived as part of an existing cuddle session. For example, offering a shoulder rub as an add-on or proposing a "cinema cuddle" package would typically be considered reasonable extensions of a cuddling service. On the other hand, activities that resemble standalone companionship offerings, such as dinner dates or weekend getaway packages, fall outside the spirit of what this platform is for.
Text sessions
A common question is whether "text sessions" are permitted. Some may view texting as a natural extension of virtual sessions, but these are quite different in nature. Virtual sessions were introduced during the Covid pandemic and continue to be allowed at our discretion. Text sessions, however, are too far removed from cuddling to qualify as a reasonable secondary service and fall more into the category of general companionship services. They also tend to move communication off-site, which undermines our moderators' ability to oversee bookings and your own ability to hold troublesome clients accountable to our rules. For these reasons, text sessions are not permitted.
Guidelines for Professionals
While we generally discourage secondary services, if you do choose to offer them, here are some recommendations:
- Frame any secondary services around cuddling as the primary activity.
- Avoid presenting activities as standalone services separate from cuddling.
- Ensure your overall profile clearly conveys a focus on cuddling.
- Consider how your offerings might be perceived by someone unfamiliar with professional cuddling.
Why This Matters
As a platform, we are committed to maintaining a clear identity centred on platonic cuddling. The broader public still holds widespread misconceptions about this industry, and how we present ourselves, individually and collectively, plays a significant role in shaping perception. Profiles that lean into generalised companionship services risk diluting the credibility and purpose of the entire community.
It is also worth noting that search engines and AI platforms are increasingly scrutinising websites in this space. Profiles and services that could be interpreted as paid companionship rather than professional cuddling may affect the discoverability and reputation of the platform as a whole. This is something that ultimately impacts every member of this community. For a deeper look at why this matters, see our article Why does Cuddle Comfort not allow companionship services?.
Moderation
Accounts that are reported for services or activities outside our guidelines will come under investigation by our moderation team.
If it is a first-time occurrence, with no other red flags present, and the member's primary offering is clearly cuddling, punitive action is less likely. In most cases, we will reach out with an advisory notice and personalised guidance to help you realign your profile with the platform's purpose.
We take a stricter approach with newer accounts that have not yet established a track record on the platform, as there is less basis on which to give the benefit of the doubt. In these cases, the account is at high risk of being banned.
