How will Cuddle Comfort appear on my bank statement?
Depending on your account type, Cuddle Comfort appears on your bank or card statement as one of these descriptors:
- CUDDLE COMFORT 15% FEE
- CUDDLECOMFORT.COM
We display our company name on statements to help prevent and resolve fraudulent transactions. If you or your bank see a charge you do not recognize, a clear descriptor makes it easier to identify, trace, and dispute.
Using a virtual card for extra discretion
A virtual card by itself does not necessarily hide merchant information. Many providers pass the merchant name through to the statement of the bank account or card that funds the virtual card.
Privacy.com (eligible US users only)
- By default, Privacy.com passes merchant information to your funding account statement in a descriptor such as
PWP*{merchant information}. This means Cuddle Comfort could still be visible on that statement. - Eligible US users can turn on Private Spend Mode before making a payment. Privacy.com says this changes the funding statement descriptor to
PWP*Privacy.comwithout the underlying merchant name. - Private Spend Mode does not change past transactions. Enable it before you pay, not after.
- Merchant details remain visible inside your Privacy.com account.
- Privacy.com is limited to eligible US users with a US checking account who meet its other US eligibility requirements.
Privacy's Personal and Plus plans charge a 3% foreign transaction fee, with a $0.50 minimum per transaction, which can apply to our payments. Pro and Premium waive this fee. See Why is there a small additional charge on my bank statement? before choosing a plan.

Other virtual cards and neobanks
Other virtual-card or neobank providers may still show the Cuddle Comfort descriptor on your funding statement. Check your provider's documentation or contact its support team before relying on it for discretion.
Good to know
- Cuddle Comfort cannot change how your bank, card issuer, or virtual-card provider formats or displays a descriptor.
- Every option above still creates a transaction record with your payment provider. Choose the setup that fits your needs before you complete a payment.
- If you have questions about a specific charge, contact our support team with the date and amount and we will help you confirm it.
