How do travel costs and fees work?

Whether to charge a client for travel is up to you. You might add a travel charge when the time, distance, or cost of a journey makes one worthwhile. Cuddle Comfort does not set a standard travel rate.

Deciding whether and what to charge

When setting a travel charge, you may want to consider:

• Round-trip travel time
• Distance, fuel, or mileage
• Parking, tolls, public transit, or rideshare costs
• Whether a longer journey should require a longer minimum session
• The maximum distance you're comfortable traveling

In community discussions, Professional Cuddlers describe several approaches. Some travel within their usual area at no extra cost, then add a flat charge after a time or distance threshold. Others charge by the mile or hour, require a longer minimum session for a longer journey, or include travel in the overall booking price. There is no single method you need to follow.

Agreeing on the charge with your client

Tell the client about any travel charge before the booking is confirmed. Keep the agreed session price and travel charge in your Cuddle Comfort conversation so you both have a written record. You can also mention your general travel policy on your profile, but confirm the actual amount with each client.

Recording travel in the booking

You can use either approach:

• Include travel in the booking total. Keep Duration set to the time the client will spend with you. As a Pro, you can edit the Price field in the booking panel and enter a custom total that includes travel; clients cannot set a custom price. This keeps one agreed total in the booking panel, gives the client a clear record of the full commitment, and may give you more reassurance before making the journey. It also means you do not need to manage two separate charges.
• Keep travel separate. Leave the travel charge out of the Total Session Price and clearly agree the separate amount in your Cuddle Comfort conversation.

Choose whichever approach feels clearer and simpler for the arrangement.

Custom-priced bookings cannot use the Extend feature, so agree the intended session duration carefully.

How Cuddle Comfort fees apply

The per-session fee is calculated from the Total Session Price, including any travel amount built into that total. A separately agreed travel charge left out of the Total Session Price is not subject to the fee.
